Exclusive Interview - Isabel Lucas

Do you know what's coming up for your character (plot wise) and any spoilers??
We usually have cast meetings about the progression of the characters. I'm not really allowed to give much away - sorry... I guess it's okay to say that Hayley and Scott do become a couple.

Now we all want to know, is Jason Smith a good kisser?
Yes, of course... but to be honest, when we are having kissing scenes, that's never the focus - we're good friends and comfortable with each other; it's like another stage move.

Who do you live with? Any pets?
I live in a leafy suburb in Sydney with a flatmate - she's from Ireland, a gorgeous person, and unfortunately we don't have any pets. I love animals and as a kid grew up with horses, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and mice - but long hours at work would mean that I wouldn't make a good carer.

Might we be seeing you in the music industry one day releasing a single or album?
I have no plans at this stage - I love listening to music. I like Ben Harper, Xavier Rudd, Jewel, Jack Jognson, India Arie, Tracey Chapman, Cat Stevens ...

Is it true that you are starring in a movie called ‘The After Killer’ and that you will be acting alongside Haylie Duff? When will it be filmed and where?
This is not true. It was just a rumour that someone apparently started on the internet.

How do you feel to be an ambassador for World Vision?
It is great that you sponsor a child, Ladaih from Zambia. Have you always wanted to sponsor a child even if you weren’t famous because we do know that you and your family sponsor around 10 children. It is such a good way of helping people. It is really wonderful that you get involved in charity work. Thank you. If you have a public image I think it's important to use it for a positive purpose. I hope to encourage and inspire others to see how much we all can make a difference. I'd love so much to travel to Zambia and meet Laidah one day.

What are your favourite fashion labels and why and where will you go shopping for clothes?
I have no favourite labels. I like flowing, comfortable 'gypsy-style' clothes made from natural fabrics, or jeans together with Oxfam or Greenpeace tshirts.

Lots of people say that you are too skinny. How do you take comments like that?
Some people have a fast metabolism and others don't. It influences your shape and weight. I eat lots of healthy food and just don't put on weight easily. - I think it's more important to be healthy than worrying about your weight.

Other people think you have the perfect body and the perfect look, would you ever go into modelling?
Oh, I'm not sure about the 'perfect body and perfect look'... Thank you, but I don't feel modelling is something for me - I'd rather focus on acting.

We want to congraulate you on winning Most Popular New Female Talent at the Logie Awards. You seemed very nervous when you presented your speech. Were you expecting to win the award?
I was not expecting to be nominated at all, let alone winning.

Where do you keep your Logie?
It sits on the TV table

Have you started to shop for an outfit to wear to the 2005 Logie Awards? If yes, could you please give HAAC a hint on what it will look like? If you haven’t bought one yet, what sort of style are you looking for?
Will it be a particular designer? I haven't decided on anything yet - I love the colour green and eclectic styles - hippie at heart.

• Announcement - 23 September 2007•
After an extended 9 months, it's time for Home and Away Central to officially close. Most of you know I was planning to close late last year than I gave you all a Christmas Surprise I haven't put a date to it yet but in 4 weeks time I start year 12 so there will be less updating. Depending on the workload, it might close as soon as a month, if not the end of the year. The site and gallery will close as it takes a while to update everyday, but the forum will stay open as it. Thanks to all the 1500+ visitors who visit HAAC each day. I'll let you all know when I decide on a date!
